Brynn and I had some very serious talks yesterday, but that was not the tenor of the day.
We laughed. We played Animal Rummy and Dutch Blitz. We made jewelry. We baked cookies and Brynn made us lunch. She went to "Cake Camp" this summer and discovered a love for cooking and baking.
We have 'pizza deals' - kits that include homemade pizza crust and sauce, mozzarella cheese, and pepperoni. Michael was the only one who wanted pepperoni, so Brynn careful put pepperoni on Michael's part of the pizza - probably more pepperoni than he's ever had on a pizza. She did a great job!
I've had a week full of sad - with no breaks, so today was a welcome gift.
I'm grateful for Brynn's honesty, but I'm also grateful for her sweetness - her kindness - her generosity of spirit. We had a great day!
