Tuesday
Sporadic sleep last night - alternating short periods of sleep and short periods of wakefulness. I think I was asleep more than I was awake, so that's a good thing. I'll take it.
Lunch today with Scott and the boys near Scott's house. After lunch, Scott needed to go to Home Depot for some "stuff". He offered to pick up a couple clamps that I need while he was there. I decided to wait in the car. I always have a book with me, so I was happy to wait. Scott asked Mason if he wanted to wait in the car with me. I was ecstatic when Mason chose to stay.
A half hour with Mason (5 years old) was exactly what I needed. Mason is bright, fun, very very intuitive, and always surprising. His sense of humor is beyond 5 years old. I put my jacket on the console so it would be soft and Mason snuggled in next to me. We played a game on his iPad - laughed and made jokes. By the time Scott (and Bryce) returned for Mason, my heart was full.
A little "Mason" therapy goes a long way.
